This policy applies to the Brand New Bold website and enquiries sent to us. Brand New Bold, based in Cape Town, South Africa, is the responsible party for the personal information described here.

We process personal information in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). We do not sell personal information or use this website for behavioural advertising.

Effective date: 4 August 2026. We may update this policy when our services, technology or legal duties change.

Information we handle

Information you choose to send

When you contact us, we may receive your name, email address, company or brand, project needs, budget, timing and anything else you include in your message. The website prepares your enquiry in your own email application; it does not submit the form to a website database.

Technical information

Our hosting and security providers may automatically receive limited technical information such as an IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, timestamps and diagnostic logs. This is commonly needed to deliver, secure and troubleshoot a website.

Client and supplier information

If we work together, we may also process contact, briefing, contractual, billing and project information needed to manage that relationship.

How and why we use it

• To respond to enquiries and discuss potential work.
• To deliver agreed services and manage client or supplier relationships.
• To operate, protect, maintain and improve the website.
• To keep appropriate business, financial and legal records.
• To meet legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Depending on the context, we rely on your consent, steps taken at your request before a contract, performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in running and protecting the studio, or a legal obligation. You can withdraw consent where consent is the basis, without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Cookies and similar storage

This site currently uses only essential browser storage. We do not currently set advertising, profiling or optional analytics cookies.

The Jockey Men campaign film uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed mode, and the Jakobs Vineyards film uses Vimeo. The muted homepage film may load automatically; case-study players load when viewed or played. These providers may receive technical and usage information under their own privacy terms.

You can clear this storage through your browser settings at any time. Blocking essential storage may cause the opening animation or notice to appear again. If we introduce optional analytics or marketing technology later, we will update this policy and ask for a choice before activating it where required.

Sharing, security and transfers

We may share only what is reasonably necessary with trusted providers that support website hosting, email, IT, professional advice and project delivery, or where the law requires it. These providers may process information only for the relevant service and subject to appropriate obligations.

Some providers may process information outside South Africa. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure an adequate level of protection or another safeguard permitted by POPIA.

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. No internet service can promise absolute security, so please avoid sending sensitive personal information unless it is necessary and an appropriate channel has been agreed.

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose collected, our legitimate business records and applicable legal requirements, then delete or de-identify it where appropriate.

Your rights

Subject to POPIA, you may ask whether we hold your personal information, request access, correction or deletion, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or raise a concern about how it is handled. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

If we cannot resolve your concern, you may complain to South Africa’s Information Regulator or email POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za.
